PLIGHT OF THE MONARCH
Soaring though the winds, reaching new heights, the plight of the monarch is not one to be taken lightly. The journey of the monarch begins In Mexico where the first generation gears up for an epic journey across the American plains. With each generation inching closer to Canada, it take four generations to complete this journey. As the third generation arrives at its breeding grounds in Canada, they reproduce and prepare to make this journey from Canada all the way back to Mexico to their original origin without repopulating. This forth generation has become equipped to make the entire journey, returning back to its home land to be welcomed by its natural habitat. This journey is a symbolic representation of the journey that we, as families and humans, must take to rebuild and advance from generation to generation. I find it astonishing that three generations of monarchs pass the torch to produce a fourth generation that is equipped with the strength to complete what seems like an impossible feat, riding airways and wind tunnels back to their home lands. I found it appropriate to incorporate my signature unica pattern, which represents togetherness and unity, throughout because without unity amongst the monarchs, this task could not be accomplished. This plight is also something which cannot be accomplished alone. The monarch has many natural predators making their journey an even more difficult task. Even so, through dedication, instinct, and collaboration they are able to do the impossible.
